We are a proven and highly effective alternative to mainstream fitness. TrainFit combines technology with individualized coaching to customize your workouts and guide you to achieve your personal goals.

TrainFit San Antonio – Alamo Heights is perfect for people who want to work out but don’t know how to start and those who are tired of the big box gyms where they pay and never go.

Using personal goals, strength, and cardio metrics, we custom tailor your workouts. We offer 24-hour access and digital personal training, which allows you to work out any time of day or night.

"TrainFit History"

“TrainFit founder Jason Edwards has always loved fitness and seeing how far he could push himself to maintain a high level. With a family that was constantly on the go and looking for new adventures Jason made a promise to be healthier and live longer for this purpose.

However, as an entrepreneur and father of three, his life became a series of long workdays, sleepless nights, and takeout food, leaving no time for exercise. Over time, Jason could feel himself becoming out of shape and overweight. So, he did what most people do: He tried a series of different gyms and tried his best to get back in shape. After months of wandering around without a firm training plan, he ended up right back where he started – out of shape and frustrated

Jason was not alone. At traditional gyms, more than 90 percent of people never receive help or coaching with their workouts. This treatment is why so many people fail and quit the gym altogether (or worse, continue to pay for a gym membership they never use). Jason knew there was a better way. As an entrepreneur he set out to find a solution, surveying people who were in the same situation: tired of the gym scene, tired of being yelled at in sweaty group classes that didn’t always fit their schedule, tired of feeling lost and ignored, and – most of all – tired of disappointing results TrainFit was his answer…”

Our Dedicated Team

Jason is an engineer by day and a TrainFit Coach by the weekend.

​For years Jason worked out at CrossFit, but when he started Train, things changed. He was able to train safely and gain more strength by using the Smartrainer and the time under tension programmed into the workouts. While he still goes to CrossFit a couple of days a week, most mornings, you can find him at the club with the 5 am group, getting in his workout.

Jason grew up playing football and walked on at the University of Texas, where he filled a linebacker spot from 1996 to 2000.

His favorite thing about Train is the ability to get a quality workout whenever he needs it. With the 24/7 access, he doesn’t have to wait for a class or schedule with a trainer. His workouts are always available.

Background: 30 years of coaching experience in High School in the San Antonio Area and four years of experience as a Train Certified Fit Coach.

What I like about Train:

“While we have great workouts and technology, the real benefit is the relationships between members and coaches. I enjoy listening to people’s goals and their obstacles. Then we put together a plan and help them. By targeting your heart rate and working on your pace score (strength training), you can achieve cardio and strength endurance.

Knowing these people are improving their quality of life and seeing that their attitudes are so positive, I feel like we really make a difference.”

“I started working out at Train when it first opened in September 2014. However, I have been physically active since I was very young. I participated in a variety of activities and sports, such as ballet, baton, track and field, field hockey, and women’s soccer.

Why do I like being a Train FitCoach? I love helping people reach their fitness goals. When I get them to smile or laugh while they are working out, it’s an added bonus. I want people to truly enjoy their workout sessions at Train.

I am passionate about being a Train FitCoach, because I have seen the benefits of Train workouts firsthand. In my own life, Train workouts have improved my running ability and speed. I’ve run several marathons, half-marathons, and countless 5Ks thanks to Train.”

Debbi has been married to her husband, Daryl, for 30 years. She has two grown children, Colin and Matthew, as well as 2 dogs, Thor and Loki. She is retired military, was deployed twice to Iraq, and worked in specialty trauma/critical nursing for 30 years.
